Health Innovation by Itera Biomedical Engineering Students Exhibited in Bione 3.0
The Biomedical Engineering Study Program, Faculty of Industrial Technology (FTI), Sumatra Institute of Technology (Itera), held an academic exhibition Biomedical Exhibition (Bione) 3.0 with the theme "Unleash Your Idea, Inspiring the Future", in the Hall of General Lecture Building 2 Itera, Monday, May 26, 2025.
The Chief Executive of Bione 3.0, Muhammad Falih Akbar, said that this exhibition featured the work of 46 groups of students studying the Basics of Biomedical Engineering Design, 34 groups of Biomedical System Planning, and 14 groups of Biosensors.
The Coordinator of the Itera Biomedical Engineering Study Program, Rudi Setiawan, S.T., M.T., expressed his appreciation for the implementation of this activity. He said that although for the past three years this activity has not received funding from the faculty, his party remains committed to implementing it optimally.
"Through this exhibition, we hope to be more involved in various topics and accelerate innovation. We need to work together so that various health-related problems can be solved collaboratively, involving hospitals, government, and educational institutions," said Rudi.
This activity was also attended by educators and education personnel, academics, and Itera students. In addition, representatives from a number of hospitals and health institutions were also present, such as Immanuel Way Halim Hospital, Airan Raya Hospital, Dr. H. Abdul Moeloek Hospital, Bintang Amin Hospital, Kosasih Tirtayasa Clinic, Cendana Clinic, Lintang Medika Medical Devices Store, and Bimu Medika Muhammadiyah Clinic.
It is hoped that several products exhibited can develop into products that have a selling value in society. Because, usually from an innovation it can develop into an invention, then be able to survive and provide benefits in society.
Several educational institutions also attended this activity, including Bandar Lampung Health Vocational School, Kesuma Bangsa Pharmacy Vocational School, Cendikia Farma Husada Pharmacy Vocational School, Nurul Islam Husada Health Vocational School, and Azza Wa Jalla Bandar Lampung Vocational School.
Dean of the Faculty of Industrial Technology Itera, Hadi Teguh Yudistira, S.T., Ph.D., explained that Bione 3.0 is a form of collaboration from various courses that implement a project-based learning approach. He said that this activity is one of the academic outputs that has a real impact.
"Hopefully, some of the products exhibited can develop into products that have a selling value in society. Because, usually from an innovation it can develop into an invention, then be able to survive and provide benefits in society," said Hadi.
The Chairperson of the Chetikrahayu Itera Biomedical Student Association (HMBM), Mu'amar Syahti Prawira Marga, hopes that this activity can raise the spirit of students to continue to develop and become a source of inspiration in the future.
