KRI Panah-626 Successfully Integrated with Sewaco System

PT PAL Indonesia has successfully integrated the sensor, weapon and command (Sewaco) system on the KRI Panah-626. The 60 M fast missile boat (KCR) successfully fired a 57 mm, 20 mm caliber cannon, and an SS-2 long-barreled weapon.

President Director of PT PAL Indonesia, Kaharuddin Djenod, in a release received Tuesday (5/27) said that mastering the Sewaco system integration capability is crucial in determining a modern combat ship.

The development of Sewaco, continued Kahar, requires high-quality human resources that produce tested products.

"Without reliable Sewaco capabilities, the integration of multidomain defense systems will be difficult to achieve," he explained.

He also considered the success of the KRI Panah-626 in the weapon firing test to prove that the synergy between PT PAL and the Indonesian Navy continues to be maintained.

In addition to KRI Panah 626, the success of PT PAL's Sewaco integration can also be found on a number of other combat ships such as other KCR 60m, submarines and TNI AL warships that are included in the R41 maintenance and repair process.

KRI Panah-626 in the 57 mm caliber cannon firing exercise was able to hit targets with a high level of accuracy, effectively and efficiently, and without ammunition obstacles or misfires. Moreover, there were no cracks in the cannon foundation construction structure, in the Seram Sea, Pacific Ocean, on Monday (19/05).

KRI Panah-626 was handed over to the TNI AL in 2022, and is currently serving under Koarmada III. This combat ship is designed to have sensor, weapon and command capabilities.

Sewaco itself functions as the brain in integrating sensor, weapon and communication systems on warships. This capability enables real-time coordination between defense units, as well as improving response to electronic and physical warfare threats.

Mastery of Sewaco system integration capabilities by PT PAL Indonesia's human resources is an important thing in producing modern combat ship products, such as KRI Panah 626, a combat ship made by PT PAL Indonesia that is designed to have Sensor, Weapon and Command (Sewaco) capabilities. Sewaco itself functions as the "brain" in integrating sensor, weapon, and communication systems on warships. This capability enables real-time coordination between defense units, as well as improving response to electronic and physical warfare threats.

In the successful shooting on Monday (19/5) KRI Panah-626 demonstrated its performance again with a 57 mm caliber cannon shot that could hit the target with a high level of accuracy, effectively and efficiently, without ammunition obstacles or misfires, especially there were no cracks in the cannon foundation construction structure in the Seram Sea, Pacific Ocean.
