Japanese Water Purifier “SESERA” Officially Debuts in Indonesia, Offers Direct Drinking Water from the Tap

Jakarta — Japan’s premium water purifier brand, SESERA, was officially launched in Indonesia during a press conference held at Ashley Hotel Wahid Hasyim, Central Jakarta, on Tuesday (September 9, 2025).

The launch marks SESERA’s first step into the international market after gaining strong popularity in Japan.

The event was initiated by Office Promosi Ltd. Tokyo, Japan, introducing SESERA as a modern, high-quality water purification device.

“Indonesia is the first country outside Japan that we’ve chosen to introduce SESERA. This product has already received a positive response in the Japanese domestic market,” said Richard Susilo, President of Office Promosi Ltd. Tokyo, in an official statement.

SESERA is claimed to be capable of filtering tap water to make it safe for direct consumption without the need for boiling. Once connected to the water pipe, the purified water can be used directly for drinking, brewing coffee or tea, and cooking. The product is also energy-efficient, as it operates without electricity.

Another convenience lies in its simple maintenance system. The filter cartridge only needs to be replaced periodically—every five years in Japan, and approximately every two to three years in Indonesia. Each unit also comes with a one-year warranty, including free cartridge replacement in case of any issues.

Currently, SESERA is available in Indonesia through import channels, with prices starting from Rp 7.9 million per unit. However, the company plans to build a factory in Indonesia to reduce distribution costs and make the product more accessible to the public.

“If the product is well-received and sales are strong, we can’t rely on imports forever. Local production will make the price more affordable so more people can benefit from it,” Richard said.

In addition to seeking main distributors, the company is also open to collaboration with the government, particularly to provide clean water solutions in areas with limited access.

Richard acknowledged that SESERA’s biggest challenge is changing the habits of Indonesians who are used to relying on bottled gallon water.

“It’s time for people to switch to modern water purification technology. With SESERA, just connect it to your tap — the water becomes hygienic and ready to drink instantly,” he said.

SESERA’s advantages go beyond cost efficiency; they also contribute to a better quality of life.

“Water is the source of life. When the water is clean and healthy, everything we consume becomes better. That’s what we aim to bring to Indonesia — a healthier, more comfortable, and more affordable lifestyle,” Richard concluded.
