Foton Drives Electrification of Commercial Vehicles as the Business of the Future
Jakarta - PT Indomobil Global Transportasi, in collaboration with Foton, reaffirms its commitment to driving business mobility transformation in Indonesia through its participation in the GIICOMVEC 2026 exhibition at JIExpo Kemayoran, Jakarta, from April 8 to 11, 2026.
Under the theme “Electric Strength for Every Journey,” Foton presents an electric-based commercial vehicle approach as a future solution that is more efficient, productive, and sustainable for various industrial sectors.
As a global player that has been present in more than 130 countries, Foton continues to develop innovative commercial vehicles that are adaptive to the needs of modern industry. The support of its global manufacturing network and research centers serves as the foundation for delivering mobility solutions that are not only competitive but also relevant to the industry’s direction toward electrification.
“Foton is committed to delivering future-oriented commercial vehicle solutions. Through electric vehicle innovation, we want to ensure that every business journey can run more efficiently, sustainably, and reliably,” said Luis Huo, Foton Global, in a press release (April 9).
In Indonesia, this commitment is strengthened through a long-term strategy focused on developing the commercial electric vehicle ecosystem. Foton Indonesia’s COO, Edi Napis, emphasized that Indonesia is a strategic market with great potential for the adoption of electric vehicles in business operations. This is supported by the government’s steps to accelerate electrification in the automotive sector, including the commercial segment, as part of efforts to promote energy efficiency and the transition toward more environmentally friendly mobility.
“Foton is present in Indonesia not only to deliver products, but as a partner that supports business operational transformation through integrated and sustainable mobility solutions,” he explained.
In line with this, Foton introduces “Easy Move,” an integrated mobility ecosystem that represents its long-term commitment to supporting the transformation of the transportation industry toward the electrification era in Indonesia. Backed by Indomobil Group as the official distributor, Foton not only brings electric commercial vehicles but also comprehensive business mobility solutions.
“Easy Move” is designed as an end-to-end solution that integrates people, vehicles, and logistics into one interconnected system, emphasizing the “value beyond vehicle” principle — that Foton does not merely provide products, but delivers added value to support the entire operational needs of its customers, particularly in fleet management.
Through this ecosystem, Foton delivers a comprehensive approach that includes electric vehicle technology, charging solutions, and after-sales services to ensure optimal operations. In just around three years, Foton Indonesia has demonstrated rapid growth by expanding its after-sales service network to more than 59 points across various regions, providing fast and reliable support to minimize downtime and maintain the continuity of customer operations.
Foton’s participation in GIICOMVEC 2026 serves as clear proof of its seriousness in developing the Indonesian market, while also introducing the brand’s development direction that focuses on electrification. At this event, Foton showcases its complete lineup of commercial vehicles, with electric-based solutions as the main focus, while remaining adaptable to operational needs across various sectors.
Foton also takes this opportunity to present the first appearance of its flagship model, the electric double-cabin eTUNLAND, as a multifunctional vehicle for business needs. During the exhibition, Foton also displays the eVIEW CONNECT as a reliable electric van for operational mobility, the eTRUCKMATE as a light electric truck for logistics needs, as well as the eMILER and eAUMARK, which are designed to support various distribution and logistics requirements.
To support the expansion of this product lineup, Foton Indonesia is strengthening its commitment through local vehicle assembly using the Completely Knocked Down (CKD) scheme at Indomobil’s facilities in Pulo Gadung, Jakarta — specifically for the eMILER, eAUMARK, and eTRUCKMATE models.
This step not only ensures a sustainable supply of units but also enables vehicle customization to meet domestic market needs, while accelerating distribution time to customers. In addition, the locally assembled vehicles have achieved a Local Content Level (TKDN) of 36.25%, serving as a tangible contribution to the national automotive industry.
Foton also presents an interactive booth experience, including opportunities for visitors to get to know Foton’s electric vehicle technology more closely through consultation sessions and product exploration.
