Karoseri Gunung Mas Releases New Zeppelin G7 Bus for PO Teratai Bintang on Hino RK 280 Chassis

PT Gunung Mas Bersinar, better known as Karoseri Gunung Mas, has once again demonstrated its strength in the national automotive industry with the launch of its latest bus creation.

This time, PO Teratai Bintang has officially introduced its newest fleet featuring the Zeppelin G7 body.

The arrival of this unit further strengthens the position of the Madiun, East Java-based coachbuilder as one of the key players in producing high-quality bus bodies with modern and functional aesthetics.

From the exterior, the bus for PO Teratai Bintang stands out with a striking bright blue color combined with dynamic red and white graphic line accents, characteristic of this East Jakarta bus operator.

The Zeppelin G7 body represents the latest evolution of the Zeppelin series, which has long been a signature identity of Gunung Mas. In terms of proportions, the Zeppelin G7 adopts a High Double Glass concept, with dimensions equivalent to the Super High Deck (SHD) class.

This is evident from the bus’s tall stature, which provides a very spacious luggage compartment. Its front face follows current trends with sleek headlights and LED Daytime Running Lights (DRL) that give a dynamic, aggressive, yet elegant impression.

Inside the cabin, a luxurious atmosphere is immediately felt thanks to the use of premium materials throughout. The bus is specially designed for the tourism sector, prioritizing maximum comfort.

The seating configuration is unique: 2-2 arrangement throughout the cabin, with 6 sofa-style seats in the rearmost row, offering flexibility for large tour groups.

The seats are upholstered in ergonomic dark brown leather. For entertainment during the journey, the cabin is equipped with a large LED TV screen at the front and a high-quality audio system.

The ceiling area also features an artistic touch with warm ambient lighting and neatly designed AC vents, creating a calm and exclusive cabin atmosphere that enhances comfort on long trips.

Behind its attractive appearance, the bus is built on a Hino RK 280 Euro 4 chassis. This chassis is a favorite choice among Indonesian bus operators due to its proven durability and efficient maintenance costs.

The Hino RK 280 is powered by a J08E-WD turbo diesel engine, a 6-cylinder inline configuration with a capacity of 7,684 cc. It delivers a maximum power of 278 hp at 2,500 rpm and peak torque of 823 Nm at 1,500 rpm.

One of the main advantages of this chassis is the standard integrated air suspension, which effectively absorbs shocks even on uneven road surfaces.
