Karoseri New Armada Launches Skylander R25 Double Decker for the First Time
INAPA 2026 and Busworld Southeast Asia 2026 are once again being held as the largest trade exhibitions in ASEAN for the automotive, spare parts, bus, and coach industries. The exhibitions will take place from 20 to 22 May 2026 at JIExpo Kemayoran, Jakarta, showcasing the latest innovations and business opportunities in the automotive, transportation, and logistics sectors.
The organization of INAPA 2026 and Busworld Southeast Asia 2026 aligns with the Indonesian government’s strategic steps to promote national automotive industry self-reliance, particularly in the development of electric vehicles and increasing local content (spare parts) to reduce imports, while also lowering emissions and traffic congestion. This is in line with the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government’s plan to expand the Transjakarta electric bus fleet to 10,000 units by 2029.
Karoseri New Armada unveiled its latest Double Decker body at Busworld Southeast Asia 2026, based on the Skylander R25 body with a highly comfortable cabin.
The new bus belonging to PO UTrans became the star attraction of Busworld SEA 2026, drawing large crowds of visitors eager to learn more about the interior of this massive vehicle.
Upon entering the lower cabin, all passenger seats are reclining sleeper seats, providing enhanced comfort throughout the journey.
The sleeper seats are equipped with Audio Video On Demand (AVOD), seat belts, reading lights, cup holders, electrically adjustable seat backs, and USB ports for charging passengers’ phones.
The lower cabin also features a toilet that can be used while the bus is moving. There is also a storage cabinet for coffee, tea, and instant cup noodles, along with a drinking water dispenser.
Before ascending to the upper deck, PO UTrans has prepared a special smoking area at the base of the staircase. This room is equipped with folding seats, a lighter, an ashtray, an exhaust fan, and a small openable window.
On the upper cabin, at the front, there are two additional sleeper seats with direct road views, offering passengers a unique travel sensation.
Behind the sleeper seats, standard 2-2 configuration seats are provided. These are quite wide and equipped with legrests and footrests, allowing passengers to stretch out comfortably during the journey.
For the chassis, PO UTrans is using a premium German-made MAN RR4 480 Euro5 chassis for the first time. The distinctive lion logo can be seen on the front of the body.
