Mitsubishi Triton Terra: Tough Workhorse Transforms into Elegant Premium Pickup

The Mitsubishi Triton has long established itself as a rugged and reliable work vehicle capable of handling tough terrain. However, that image is now being transformed into a more elegant direction with the latest variant called the Triton Terra.

Debuting at Agrishow 2026, this model sits at the top of the Mitsubishi Triton lineup in Brazil. It successfully combines mechanical toughness with premium comfort comparable to high-end passenger vehicles.

Born from in-depth research into the needs of Brazil’s agribusiness sector, the Terra edition takes a different approach compared to the Savana or Outdoor variants, which focus on extreme off-road modifications.

The Mitsubishi Triton Terra instead highlights its exclusive side with dominant chrome accents on the grille (which still retains the Dynamic Shield design), mirror caps, and door handles.

Mitsubishi also applied special color schemes, such as cream or white on the upper body paired with a brown lower section — a clever detail designed to hide dirt or mud stains when the vehicle is used in plantation areas.

Despite its stylish appearance with 20-inch alloy wheels, Mitsubishi has not forgotten the core functionality of a pickup truck. The cargo bed is equipped with a special liner, LED lighting, and an electric roll-top cover that can be operated via remote control.

The luxurious impression becomes even stronger when the driver opens the door, as the side steps automatically deploy to make entry easier — a feature typically found only on premium vehicles.

Inside the cabin, a masculine yet luxurious atmosphere is created through the use of two-tone natural leather seats in black and brown, accented with signature Terra embroidery on the headrests.

Beyond aesthetics, technology has also been upgraded with a premium JBL audio system, a 9-inch infotainment screen, and a comprehensive suite of active safety features (ADAS) to ensure safety on both paved roads and unpaved surfaces.

Under the hood, the Triton Terra is powered by a 2.4-liter bi-turbo diesel engine producing 205 hp at 3,500 rpm and a massive 470 Nm of torque available between 1,500 – 2,750 rpm.

This strong output is delivered through a 6-speed automatic transmission to the legendary Super Select 4WD-II all-wheel-drive system, complete with 7 selectable driving modes: Normal, Eco, Gravel, Snow, Mud, Sand, and Rock.

With production limited to just 300 units, Mitsubishi prices the Triton Terra at approximately R$ 364,990 (around Rp 1.1 billion), making it the most expensive and most exclusive Triton variant ever offered in the region.
