The Saudi Arabian Ministry of Hajj and Umrah successfully held the Grand Hajj Symposium at the Ritz Carlton Hotel, Jeddah, on Sunday (1/6). The Minister of Hajj and Umrah, Dr. Taufiq Al Rabia, in his speech emphasized the importance of this forum to discuss various issues related to Hajj facilities.

"It is very important to make the implementation of Hajj easier and provide a memorable experience for pilgrims," he said.

Dr. Al Rabia also highlighted the urgency to study and adopt AI technology experiences in helping to facilitate the implementation of Hajj.

He specifically mentioned the potential of AI in various sectors, including medical units, transportation, and developing the best services for pilgrims.

"We want to discuss the various capabilities that we can apply to the ministry and the wider community," added Dr. Al Rabia, indicating the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah's commitment to continue to innovate and improve the quality of Hajj services for the convenience and comfort of all pilgrims.

Safety and Advanced Health Services Are Top Priorities for 2025 Hajj in Saudi Arabia

The 2025 Hajj pilgrimage is fast approaching, and Saudi authorities have reaffirmed their commitment to the safety and health of pilgrims. This was revealed at the Grand Hajj Symposium in Jeddah, where two important officials made crucial statements.

Lieutenant General Mohammed bin Abdullah Al Bassami, Director of General Security in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, stressed that security is an absolute priority.

“Security is of utmost importance and is needed by all pilgrims at this time,” he said.

He added that maximum efforts will be made to provide and organize security for pilgrims from all over the world, as well as the general public, in the best possible way. This statement reaffirms the Kingdom’s focus on ensuring a safe and secure environment for the millions of pilgrims who come every year.

Meanwhile, the Saudi Minister of Health, Dr. Fahad Abdulrahman Al Jalajel, outlined a comprehensive strategy to safeguard the health of pilgrims.

He highlighted the importance of preparing preventive measures and maintaining health during the Hajj season.

“Using umbrellas, maintaining cleanliness, and improving the services of medical units in existing health facilities are the first steps for pilgrims to support our medical support,” explained Dr. Al Jalajel.

Furthermore, Dr. Al Jalajel expressed his pride in the readiness of the emergency medical units that are ready to respond. They will provide a special monitoring service “around the clock” for up to 60 minutes, ensuring that every patient receives the best standby service. This initiative shows the Ministry of Health’s proactive steps in providing a quick and effective response to the medical needs of pilgrims, especially in emergency situations.

The statements from the two high-ranking officials underscore Saudi Arabia’s collaborative efforts and great commitment to making the 2025 Hajj a success, with the main focus on the safety, health, and comfort of all pilgrims.
