The Surabaya-Bangkok flight is the first non-stop route between the second largest city in Indonesia and the capital of Thailand. The first flight of this route was successfully carried out on Friday (30/5/2025).

Corporate Communications Strategic of Lion Group, Danang Mandala Prihantoro, said that this new route will expand air connectivity between the two countries.

"Thai Lion Air is committed to continuing to open accessibility and strengthen the international network from Indonesia, while encouraging the recovery and growth of the tourism sector in both regions," said Danang in his official statement, Sunday (1/6/2025).

This route is the first to directly connect Surabaya-Bangkok without transit. The duration of the air travel is estimated to be around 4 hours 15 minutes.
