Australian Command and Staff College Visits PT Pindad
PT Pindad's Commercial Director, Budhiarto, and his staff welcomed members of the Australian Command & Staff College (ACSC) as part of an Overseas Study Tour program on Wednesday, July 16, 2025, at the PT Pindad Auditorium in Bandung. The visit was led by Brigadier Lara Troy and attended by 18 ACSC student officers.
The Overseas Study Tour aimed to gain insight into the economic, social, and political developments in Indonesia, a friendly country for Australia, and to explore potential collaboration through a visit to PT Pindad, the country's national defense industry. The ACSC delegation also studied defense and security products and PT Pindad's capabilities as part of the Indonesian defense ecosystem.
PT Pindad's Commercial Director, Budhiarto, warmly welcomed Brigadier Lara Troy and the ACSC delegation. He stated that PT Pindad is open to discussions, input, and the strengthening of good relations.
"We express our gratitude and are honored by the ACSC's visit to PT Pindad. PT Pindad is an Indonesian defense industry with primary products being weapons, combat vehicles, and ammunition. We hope that today's ACSC visit will provide an overview of PT Pindad's capabilities, technology, and products, and strengthen the existing good relationship," explained Budhiarto.
Brigadier Lara Troy expressed her appreciation for the welcome given by PT Pindad. The visit will discuss the company's various products and capabilities, as well as the development of business cooperation with Australia.
"This visit is one of a series of excellent activities for students to learn more about Indonesia, including its defense industry. This visit also serves as an effort to deepen cooperation between Indonesia and Australia," explained Brigadier Lara Troy.
After hearing an explanation of PT Pindad's profile and products, Brigadier Lara Troy and the ACSC delegation visited PT Pindad's production facilities and flagship defense products. The Australian Command & Staff College delegation's visit to PT Pindad is part of an effort to strengthen understanding and strategic partnership between Indonesia and Australia, particularly in the defense sector.
