Toyota Showcases a Variety of Rangga Hilux Convertibles at GIICOMVEC 2026

Jakarta - PT Toyota-Astra Motor (TAM) once again reaffirmed its commitment to supporting the national industrial and business sectors through its participation in the GAIKINDO Indonesia International Commercial Vehicle Expo 2026 (GIICOMVEC), held from April 8 to 11, 2026, at JIExpo Kemayoran, Jakarta.


Under the theme “Multi Solution for All,” Toyota presented various Hilux Rangga conversions as flexible, reliable business mobility (B2B) solutions that prioritize Quality, Durability, and Reliability (QDR).

“Over more than 50 years in Indonesia, Toyota has remained committed to delivering mobility solutions that are relevant to the business needs of Indonesian society. At GIICOMVEC 2026, we want to demonstrate that the Hilux Rangga is not just a commercial vehicle, but a business solution that can be customized for various sectors,” said TAM Marketing Director, Bansar Maduma.

He explained that the Hilux Rangga was designed to address operational needs across various business lines, ranging from MSME logistics and the agriculture sector to public services and the mining industry.As a B2B trade exhibition for commercial vehicles, GIICOMVEC is regarded as a strategic platform for connecting industry players with mobility solutions capable of improving operational efficiency while driving national economic growth.

The Hilux Rangga is presented as a versatile commercial vehicle with high conversion capabilities tailored to customer needs, whether for individual use or fleet operations. The vehicle has a payload capacity of up to 1.2 tons, a flat deck with three-way openings to facilitate loading and unloading, and a bonnet design that enhances driver comfort and safety.

In addition, the choice of gasoline and diesel engines provides flexibility for business operators in adjusting performance and operational efficiency.

In its development, Toyota collaborated with more than 80 local body manufacturers (karoseri) to deliver various practical conversion models that meet specific on-the-ground requirements.

Toyota also strengthened its support through the Total Mobility Solution ecosystem, which includes an extensive after-sales service network, spare parts availability, and easy access to financing.

“The Hilux Rangga is the embodiment of the Multi Solution for All vision. With its durability and reliability, supported by a comprehensive service ecosystem, we want to ensure that customers can run their businesses more efficiently and worry-free,” said TAM Marketing Director, Hiroyuki Oide.

At the event, Toyota displayed several Hilux Rangga conversions designed for various business and public service needs, including:

  • Hilux Rangga Cool Box for the distribution of frozen products such as frozen food and frozen goods.  
  • Hilux Rangga Flatdeck (Maintenance Car) to support logistics operations and repairs at various locations.

Next, the Hilux Rangga ACC Mobile Service to expand access to financial services in various regions. The Hilux Rangga Firefighter as an agile and tough fire-fighting vehicle. Then, the Hilux Rangga MBG to support the government’s Free Nutritious Meal program through food distribution.

In addition, Toyota also presented the Hiace Premio as a premium minibus solution to support the national tourism sector with higher levels of comfort and service quality.

Through these commercial vehicle conversion innovations, Toyota hopes to provide added value to business operators in increasing productivity, efficiency, and business competitiveness amid dynamic economic challenges.

Toyota’s participation in GIICOMVEC 2026 also underscores the role of the automotive industry in supporting the strengthening of the real sector and Indonesia’s sustainable economic growth.
